Training ResourcesTrainings at the High Tech Center Training Unit may consist of one, two, or three days of instruction and hands-on activities. The trainings are designed to inform and support faculty and staff within the California Community College system. The HTCTU will reimburse participants for hotel accommodations to a maximum of $110.00 per night. The HTCTU does not provide travel reimbursement for vendor trainings or trainings conducted at local colleges. Trainings at the HTCTU generally begin at 10:00AM and conclude by 4:30pm. Two or three-day trainings may begin the second and third day session at 9:00AM. It is best to check with the instructor as to the time of the training for the second or third session. The HTCTU is located approximately 20 minutes from San Jose International Airport and approximately 55 minutes from San Francisco International Airport.
Get Adobe Reader to view and complete the Reimbursment Form Cancellation PolicyBeginning August 1, 2008, if you are a California Community Colleges Disabled Student Services faculty or staff member registered for a training at the HTCTU and do not cancel training reservation within 72 hours of the training date or are a “no-show," at the next training for which you have registered and do attend, we will deduct $50 from your travel reimbursement. This will allow HTCTU to recover the cost of time and materials for the previous training at which you did not cancel your training reservation in a timely manner or simply did not appear. If you need to cancel your training reservation, please do so no later than 72 hours before the training date. This will allow the HTCTU staff sufficient time to produce the appropriate number of training. Application of the $50 travel reimbursement deduction policy will only be in those situations where 72 hour notice was not provided or the training participant was a "no-show". There will, of course, always be circumstances beyond your control which might have legitimately prohibited you from attending a training for which you were registered. We will always consider those occasions on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for your cooperation.
